It’s been awhile since I went to California, but since the end of the school year was so busy for me I never really got to finishing blogging my trip. I landed in California late at night and found Caitlin and Kellie at a little waterfront bar, Woody’s Wharf (little did I know this would become our spot).
When we finaly made it back to Kellie’s place we all crashed and caught up on some much needed beauty rest. Oh wait, no we didn’t. Because we are now “working professionals” and our bodies have betrayed us, deciding that 7 am is a nice time to wake up every day. Actually, this may have had something to do with time zones, but I sticking to my reasoning. Don’t ever graduate college, kids.
We killed some time but soon our stomachs were rumbling. Where else to go but Cabo Cantina.. a beautiful place that serves bottomless mimosas all day? We threw on bikinis and some clothes and headed out into the sunshine ready to jump-start the day at an early hour. Unfortunately, the lovely people at Cabo do not wake up in the early hours like we do.
We ended up eating at a little cafe while hopefully awaiting the hour that Cabo would open. There was a little accident at breakfast. Kellie is an avid fan of Sriracha and has an iron-like grip…
Actually, the top wasn’t screwed on. Oops.
When the time finally came, we ran to Cabo as quickly as possible and took full advantage of the mimosas deal.
We spent the afternoon on the beach and I got my first dip in the Pacific Ocean. By dip, I mean I dipped my toe into the water and ran away screaming. The water was pretty cold.
It seemed like there was sand for days…
Overall the weather was great, and it was a nice break from the humidity of New Orleans.
