For the longest time I proclaimed myself to not be a “gym person.”
I danced, cartwheeled, jumped and twirled my way through my younger years without the slightest interested in team sports or fitness training. Swim team was as close as I ever got, and if you ask anyone who knew me during my swim team days, they can promptly verify that I was everywhere but in the water.
So in college, I naturally avoided the gym for a good long while and it took a few friends dragging my butt there to make me realize it was not all that bad. While I visit the gym occasionally and have started to run, I still prefer classes at boutique studios (and even worked at barre3 for the better part of a year) so I’m super excited to share this amazing new workout opportunity with all my friends in DC.
I was recently invited to attend the ClassPass DC launch party at SculptDC. ClassPass is a membership that allows you to visit all the boutique fitness studios in your area rather than belonging to just one.
After class we got to sip champagne while sampling some of the wholesome snacks local businesses have to offer. I really enjoyed sweetgreen‘s Rad Thai salad and locally grown apples.
If you would like to try ClassPass, sign up here and hurry so you don’t end up on the waiting list!
