The first lady boy strut her stuff out onto the stage with a whole entourage of lady boys performing a sort of Chiquita banana-esque number. With each act, the costumes got more intricate, some looking way too accurate to the pop stars they were meant to reenact.
Before long, crowd interaction was required and we had sneakily planned to save those popular side seats for the boys on our tour. I’m not sure they knew what to make of the whole thing.
We got a little crazy when “Celine” came out but I was still praying for ABBA, and what do you know, right before the end of the show they played none other than my favorite Mamma Mia hits.
For an encore the boys were called back on stage for some help and snuck behind the curtains. They returned a few minutes later to make their best attempt at a lady boy act.
Not quite professionals yet, but pretty entertaining for their first try.
