What’s the word for unpriceable? …Priceless!
On Saturday, Jenna and I headed to Versailles. I’m most looking forward to seeing Versailles when it gets warm out so I can see the gardens in bloom. Regardless, the main palace, or chateau, was stunning.
The ticket to Versailles was about 6 euros roundtrip (awesome) and all we had to do was hop on the RER (a train that intermingles with the normal metro) that took us straight to Versailles in less than an hour. To top it all off, I got in for free with my French student ID (an EU visa works too). And you know I love audio guides… they were free too, for everyone. I love free things!
The crowds, on the other hand, drove me nuts! I thought this was off-season? I know it was a Saturday but seriously, it was beyond crowded. I’m going to have to go back in the middle of the week so I can actually get pictures of things without random heads blocking my pictures.
On the way back our train stopped at the Eiffel tower so we decided to hop off. There’s a skating rink on the second level currently and I really want to ice skate on the freakin’ Eiffel tower (!) but the lines were soo long. That’s the beauty of living here, I just walk away and come back another day.
We walked over to the Champs-Elysees and ended up stopping in the Marais for dinner. Yep, more falafel. I’m lovin’ it!
From Paris with love! xoxo.
